It may not be a suitable decision for all the organisations to offshore their in-house work. There may be number of reasons to why companies do not wish to offshore:

  • The job process has not been made routing;
  • The job cannot be done at a distance;
  • The infrastructure is too weak in the vendor country;
  • The offshoring impact is too negative on the client firm -client firm losing control.

Even though the business and IT enabled services have brought many opportunities for individuals, organisations and governing bodies in both developed and developing countries, it is always advisable to research on whether the services brings benefits for the investments. The opportunities created mainly due to the changes in technology, educational systems and organisational working patterns. Even-though,  these changes make business more gradable across nations in my view, the policy makers, educators and employers all need to address the globalisation realities and risks to obtain benefits.
